RESTORED VERSION OF "HIMALA" PREMIERES AT 69TH VENICE FILM FESTIVAL

The restored version of the Filipino classic film, “Himala” by the late National Artist Ishmael Bernal will be screened at the prestigious 69^th Venice Film Festival this year.

 

The 1982 film starring Nora Aunor will be screened during the fest through the program titled “Venizia Classici” along with restored classic films, “Chimes at Midnight” by Orson Welles, “Fanny and Alexander” by Ingmar Bergman, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” by Howard Hawks and many more.

Showing in theaters on August 15, 'Just One Summer' is under the direction of Mac Alejandre.  This is GMA Films August offering as answer to long-due request and petitions of legions of the Julielmo fans.  The hashtag #SupportJustOneSummer even trended in twitter, probably while the 'mass DP edit' was taking place.

ABS-CBN’s royal teleserye, “Princess and I” achieved the no.1 spot in the recent list of overall top TV programs nationwide. Based on the data of Kantar Media last Tuesday (August 7), the Kathryn Bernardo-starrer tied with the country’s ‘phenomenal TV drama’ “Walang Hanggan” with the national TV rating of 38.8%. 

“I’m so happy and grateful to all the fans of the show because we finally made it to number one! All the sleepless nights and hard work is worth it,” said Kathryn who recently took part in the relief operations of Sagip Kapamilya at the height of floods.
