Goodbye Mang Dolphy...

It was indeed a sad day for the Filipino nation as the King of Comedy, the icon of Philippine showbiz, Mang Dolphy, Rodolfo Vera Quizon in real life, succumbed to his illness today at around 8:40 PM. He is 83.

I belong to the generation of young people then who grew up with "Home Along da Riles" a comedy sitcom in ABS-CBN which runs for years. But Mang Dolphy, for many years and generations ahead of me are already giving laughter to the world of television and theater. More than a national award, he is someone who deserves utmost respect and recognition.


You will always be missed Mang Dolphy...we'll be forever grateful for your comedy.
